An interesting day

Here's the latest update via e-mail from Rachel:
Today we spent more time shopping on Shamain Island. We ventured with another CHI family across a bridge to where mainly locals shop. It was mostly outdoor food vendors selling every living creature known to man, most of them live. Joined with the heat and humidity it was an unforgettable experience! Needless to say, none of us were hungry at lunch time!
I'm getting better at not holding my children in a death grip during our taxi rides. Have mercy, I've never seen anything like the traffic here & the way people drive! Another thing we're getting used to is coming inside form the stifling heat to absolutely freezing buildings. Then there's the joy of watching TV & trying to guess what they're saying in Chinese. Yeah, we know how to have fun.
We will greatly miss worshiping at CrossRoads tomorrow. We realize more and more every minute we've been here how truly blessed we are.

  1. Oh my...I know exactly what little "market" area you are talking about! Yep, it's a sight to behold...and a good weight-loss program.

Wow, that bathroom of yours is...interesting! Kinda cool...kinda creepy! :)
