life in the fast lane

ah, the lazy days of summer...
GONE!!
we're so ready for a long labor day weekend!

busy work/school schedules...
sniffles/allergies making their rounds...
dental & doctor visits...
hot, long carpool lines...
the new normal!

the never ending house repairs
(what a fine lookin repair man)

the homeschooler

said homeschooler's sister
(in one of her rare "keeping herself busy" moments
more than likely plotting her next strategic
"I need attention!" move)

the homeschooler crafting an original
native american mud hut

there's that repairman again
taking up the old floor to prepare for the new tile
(Quinn had shop class that day while his teacher
got some shopping done
worked on lesson plans)

and here's what happens when two sisters
get bored on a rainy afternoon...

busy?
yes
tired?
uh-huh
patient & peaceful all the time?
to borrow Gracie's favorite new phrase...
no way!
happy?
absolutely!

"be joyful always;
pray continually;
give thanks
in all circumstances."
I Thessalonians 5:16

time marches on

Another day of firsts...
first days of school, that is!

I can't believe Erin is starting
her eighth grade year!
We are so proud of her and we
love watching her beauty unfold
every day.

Quinn begins 3rd grade today...
at HOME!
This was a decision that has been
prayed over for almost a year now.
The huge added blessing is that
Quinn has been very excited about it.
(I'm personally looking forward to those
educational field trips to Starbucks )
We love our local elementary school,
but God made it very plain to us that
for this year, Quinn needs to have
his 3rd grade adventure @ home with me!
Me and...
an extremely busy 2 year old
and
a house that must be kept
clean at all times because we just
put it on the market. *gulp*

(good times, friends, good times)

Erin's practice hairdo the night before...
(She's a barrel of laughs, I tell ya)

She's rockin' that Langston uniform today!

Woodard Elementary is now in session

What? Me? Share my Mom with Quinn?
(he, he, he)

J, J, (gulp) Junior

could someone please tell me
how one minute ago I was
holding our blue eyed firstborn
and today she begins her
Junior
year of high school?

your daddy and I bless you
in Jesus' Name, Ali.
we couldn't be prouder!

Lori's blog
and her awesome fundraiser
(ending soon!)

a fabuloso prize if you
help them out!
